I decided to make the materials for this course publicly available here in a form of a git you can clone locally. These are mostly Jupyter notebooks which you should not have problem starting if you follow the instructions. However, before course starts we give a quick tutorial on how to setup your own environment - and what is this virtualisation thing and for what purpose it is used. If there are any problems, the assistant should cover it, but - if not - feel free to contact me.
Note that we do not consider Jupyter notebooks to be ideal medium for learning purposes (although it is nice for presentation). Please consider using IDE that helps you track variable states and code execution.
We published the book on data mining (An introduction to data mining using R):
- H. Kalinić, Z. Boban. Uvod u rudarenje podataka R-om (Introduction to data mining with R), 401 pages, Element 2022.
The book is already in use as a textbook for several courses at University of Split.
An intensive preparatory course on marine data offered by the European University of the Seas started in 2021. I am one of the lecturers on that course. The course title is Short Course on Marine Data Literacy, and more on this course can be foud here, and my talk can be found here.
Currently I'm appointed at the folowing courses
- Programming in Python
- Computational intelligence and applications
- Data mining
Data materials are available through moodle/elearng system.
Here you can find some materials for courses I previously held (this is most likely obsolete now).
- Extra materials for Programming in C
- List of courses while I was visiting lecturer at University of Split
- List of courses while I was at University of Zagreb
- A complete list of old materials made available
- An incomplete list of my talks that I made availble for collagues to kickstart the Computers and applications course once again (for more R examples please see my book)
