I will quickly review various quantities that have gone by the name “entropy”, highlighting some of the mathematical and conceptual differences between them, These will include the classical thermodynamic entropy, the quantity H that appears in Boltzmann’s H-Theorem, the so-called “Boltzmann entropy” actually due to Planck, the Gibbs Entropy, the Von Neumann entropy and the Shannon entropy.
