-Abstract+The presentation reviews some application of well-established domain discretization methods (finite difference method-FDM),​ finite element method-FEM) in engineering physics with particular emphasis to modeling of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) phenomena for fusion related research and quantum structures for aplication in nanodevices. Thus, Grand-Shafranov Equation (GSE) for plasma equilibrium has been solved for some simple excitation forms and the obtained numerical results for the rectangular plasma, have been presented. Furthermore,​ stationary SchrÓ§dinger equation is numerically solved via FDM and FEM, respectively. This presentation should be referred as an opener to the area of numerical modeling in plasma physics and nanotechnology.
