She holds the Doctorate and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science and the Dipl.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering, all from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, Croatia. Her research interests are currently focused on both theoretical and application-oriented aspects of human-computer interaction, user sensitive design, interaction design, usability, accessibility and user experience, intelligent interaction and adaptive user interfaces, user models/modelling and user individual characteristics, concerning interactive systems in general and technology-enhanced learning in particular.

She has developed several undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Split related to the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) field. Dr. Granić has supervised/co-supervised eight PhD theses (two completed and six ongoing). In the last decade she has published over 100 papers as book chapters or in internationally refereed journals and conferences in her area of interest. She serves in Editorial Boards of four international journals: Lecture Notes in Educational Technology, International Journal of Cognitive Performance Support, Journal of Interaction Science and International Journal on Advances in Intelligent Systems, as well as in Program Boards of considerable number of international conferences and workshops: IFIP TC13 Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (INTERACT), ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human Factors in Computing & Informatics (SouthCHI), European Conference of Technology Enhanced Learning (EC-TEL), International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (HCII), International Conference on Information Systems Development (ISD), International Conference on Advances in Computer-Human Interactions (ACHI), International Conference on Internet and Web Applications and Services (ICIW), etc.

She has reviewed significant number of papers for international journals in her area of research: Computers and Education, IEEE Pervasive Computing, Universal Access in the Information Technology, Journal of Interaction Science, Journal of Educational Technology & Society, International Journal of Online Pedagogy and Course Design, International Journal on Advances in Intelligent Systems, Journal of Internet and Information Technology, Journal of Computing and Information Technology along with large number of papers for international conferences: INTERACT, HCI International, AVI, USAB, SouthCHI, ITI, EUROCON, ISD etc. Dr. Granić has been involved or is currently participating, as a coordinator or as a partner, in internationally (EU-funded) and nationally funded projects. She has experience in EU proposals' evaluation as well as in the evaluation of national and international R&D projects and programmes. She is Croatian representative in IFIP Technical Committee on Human-Computer Interaction (TC13), member of the Croatian Society for Communications, Computing, Electronics, Measurement and Control (KoREMA) and IEEE member.
